Na het aanbrengen van de grondlaag, heeft de schilder Joris maar enkele uren de tijd om het tafereel en de verf aan te brengen op de natte kalk, zodat zij daarmee, na droging, één geheel vormt. Een observerend portret die de techniek van een fresco muurschildering uitlicht.

laisse voir le déroulement d’une journée de peinture. Après l’application de la couche de fond, Joris, le peintre, n’a que quelques heures de temps pour appliquer le dessin et la peinture sur la chaux humide, afin que ceux-ci, après séchage, se soient fondus avec elle. Un portrait qui observe, expliquant la technique d’une fresque murale.

shows the course of a painting day. After applying the primer, the painter Joris only has a few hours to apply the scene and the paint to the wet lime. It forms a single whole after it has dried. An observing portrait highlighting the technique of a fresco mural.
